We refer to the article published in The Edge Malaysia today, 6 July 2020, regarding the extension of time obtained by the Company for the issuance of its quarterly results for the financial period ended 31 March 2020 (“1QFY2020 Results”) and annual report for the financial year ended 31 December 2019 (“FY2019 Annual Report”).
The Board of Directors of AAGB wishes to clarify that the preparation of the Company’s 1QFY2020 Results and the issuance of the FY2019 Annual Report have been impacted by the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, restrictions in movements have been enforced by various governments since mid-March 2020 that affected AAGB in its network jurisdictions including the Philippines and Indonesia which the Company's accounts are consolidated with. The restrictions in movements have affected the Company's normal work systems and accessibility leading to a delay in finalising the 1QFY2020 Results and FY2019 Annual Report.
The Company has been endeavouring to make the necessary issuances as soon as possible.
