Reference is made to the announcements dated 9 August 2011, 21 October 2011 and 4 November 2011 in relation to the Proposed Warrants Exchange.
On behalf of AirAsia, we are pleased to announce that the Securities Commission (“SC”) had vide its letter dated 4 January 2012 approved the Proposed Warrants Exchange under Section 212(5) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 of Malaysia, subject to the condition that CIMB Investment Bank Berhad / AirAsia must comply with the relevant requirements pertaining to the implementation of the proposal as stipulated under the SC’s Equity Guidelines.
