Pursuant to Paragraph 9.19 (23) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Board of Directors of AirAsia wishes to announce that it has on 13 September 2018 incorporated AirAsia Group (IHQ) Ltd. in Thailand (“AAGIHQ”). The purpose of incorporating AAGIHQ is to provide consultation and services on behalf of the Company to the subsidiaries/ associates of the Company.

The total issued share capital of AAGIHQ is THB20.0 million (approximately RM2.5 million) comprising 200,000 ordinary shares. The Company holds 199,997 ordinary shares and three other individuals hold one ordinary share each in the AAGIHQ. The incorporation of AAGIHQ is not expected to have any immediate effect on the issued and paid-up share capital or substantial shareholders’ shareholding in the Company.

The establishment of AAGIHQ is also not subject to the approval of shareholders of the Company and any other regulatory authorities in Malaysia.
