Further to the Company’s announcement dated 24 February 2011 in relation to the application to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (“CCM”) for the striking off Airspace Communications Sdn. Bhd. (“Airspace Communications”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, pursuant to Section 308 of the Companies Act, 1965, AirAsia  wishes to announce that Airspace Communications had been struck off and deem dissolved following the publication of the notice of striking off pursuant to Section 308(4) of the Companies Act, 1965 in the Gazette on 26 January 2012.

The notice of striking off pursuant to Section 308(4) of the Companies Act, 1965 issued by the CCM notifying the aforesaid strike off and dissolution was received at the Registered Office of Airspace Communications on 26 June 2012.

The striking off and dissolution of Airspace Communications does not have any financial impact on the Company and its Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2012.
