We refer to the letter dated 4 January 2007 from Bursa Malaysia to AirAsia Berhad ("AirAsia" or "the Company") in relation to the news article appearing in The New Straits Times (Business Section, page 37) on 4 January 2007, entitled: "AirAsia ... has acquired a near 50 per cent stake in the company".

AirAsia wishes to clarify that it has not acquired any equity interest in the Sri Lankan low cost airline, Holiday Air, as reported in the news article.

Section, page 37, on Thursday, 4 January 2007, a copy of which is enclosed for
your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence
which is reproduced as follows:-
