Pursuant to Paragraph 14.08(a) of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, AirAsia Berhad ("AirAsia") wishes to announce that Dato' Kamarudin Bin Meranun, Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Director of AirAsia, intends to deal in the securities of AirAsia during the closed period pending the announcement of AirAsia's results for the quarter ended 30 September 2006.
