We refer to the query dated 19 June 2006 from Bursa Malaysia to AirAsia Berhad ("AirAsia" or "the Company") on the article appearing in The Edge on page 18, on 19 June 2006 entitled "Will Pos sell its stake in Transmile?"

AirAsia wishes to inform Bursa Malaysia that the reference to AirAsia in the sentence "The acquisition target being bandied about includes......AirAsia Bhd" is speculative and the Company is therefore not in a position to comment.
