Pursuant to paragraph 8.23(1)(iii) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Company wishes to announce that it has provided financial assistance in the form of USD 35,000,000 loan to Philippines AirAsia Inc. and JPY500,000,000 loan to AirAsia Japan Co. Ltd. (collectively “the Financial Assistance”). Both of these loans have been fully repaid as of today. In addition, the Company has provided AirAsia Inc. with a new Corporate Guaratntee for a new 3-year loan of USD35,000,000 to replace the previous 2-year loan of USD40,000,000. The Financial Assistance provided was in the ordinary course of business and to facilitate the running of the operations and financial affairs of both Philippines AirAsia Inc. and AirAsia Japan Co. Ltd. The Financial Assistance provided does not have any material effect on the share capital, shareholding structure or net assets of the Company. This announcement is dated 29 November 2017. |
