AirAsia wishes to announce to the public that as at 31 December 2017, 44.38% of its issued and paid-up share capital (comprising 3,341,874,080 ordinary shares and excluding 100,000 treasury shares) were held by foreigners.

The percentage of shares ownership in the Company, shares held by foreigners has not exceeded the limit of 45% of the Company's total issued and paid-up share capital ("Prescribed Limit").

Pursuant to the Securities Industry (Central Depositories) (Foreign Ownership) Regulations 1996, shares held by foreigners which are within the Prescribed Limit shall be entitled to all rights attached to the shares.
