AirAsia Celebrates 'Beautiful Terengganu, Malaysia' Livery
KUALA TERENGGANU, 10 JANUARY 2018
AirAsia, the world's best low cost airline today celebrated the Beautiful Terengganu, Malaysia' livery in partnership with Terengganu State Government at Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Nerus, Terengganu.
The livery is set to be a major promotional platform for the state for two years. The state's tourism products will also be promoted inflight on the overhead compartment, back seat, table tray and in the airline's inflight magazine, travel 3Sixty°.
Moreover, this partnership will bring a positive impact on the state's tourism as the aircraft showcasing the beautiful Terengganu will be flown to international destinations flown by AirAsia as well.
Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial AirAsia Berhad said, "We are proud to celebrate the Beautiful Terengganu, Malaysia' livery together with the Terengganu State Government and Tourism Terengganu. The livery is part of our continuous collaborative effort with the state government to promote the beauty and wonders of Terengganu to our guests across Asia Pacific. Last year, we have flown over 520,000 guests in and out of the state and we believe the livery will attract more visitors to the state in line with the state's government mission to prioritise the tourism industry this year as it directly benefits the local small and medium enterprises."

Rahman, the Menteri Besar of Terengganu said, "We are pleased to collaborate with AirAsia and hope this will pave the way for other corporate bodies to initiate joint collaborations with us. Terengganu will be developed with specific attractions for tourists and we believe by having the destination and tourism products on AirAsia livery, it will elevate the Beautiful Terengganu, Malaysia' brand further."
AirAsia flies to two destinations from Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur with 28 times weekly flights one way and Johor Bahru with 3 times weekly flights one way. Up to 2017, AirAsia has flown over 2.5 million guests in and out of the state with top three nationalities flown are from Malaysia, China and Indonesia.
