Pursuant to Paragraph 8.23(1)(iii) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Company wishes to announce that it had provided financial assistance in the form of advances to its associate and subsidiary companies during the third quarter ended 30 September 2022 as follows: -

1. On 19 July 2022 and 1 August 2022, a total of USD 3,550,000 advances (equivalent to RM 16.48 million based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to Philippines Airasia Inc. (“PAA”) by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AAB;

2. On 26 September 2022, an advance of USD 88,865 (equivalent to RM 0.41 million based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to AirAsia Com Travel Philippines Inc (“ACTPH”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, AirAsia Com Travel Sdn Bhd (“ACT”);

3. On 26 September 2022, an advance of RM 153,000 was provided to AirAsia Ride Sdn Bhd (“AARIDE MY”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, ACT;

4. On 22 July 2022, 9 August 2022, 23 August 2022 and 26 September 2022, a total advances of USD 180,894 (equivalent to RM 839,529 based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to AirAsia Ride Pte Ltd (“AARIDE SG”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, ACT;

5. On 26 September 2022, an advance of USD 25,992 (equivalent to RM 120,629 based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to AirAsia SuperApp LLC (“SuperApp KR”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, ACT;

6. On 8 July 2022, an advance of RM 152,133 was provided to Ourfarm Asia Sdn Bhd (“OURFARM”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, ACT;

7. On 5 July 2022, 6 July 2022, 15 July 2022, 20 July 2022, 22 July 2022, 27 July 2022, 1 August 2022, 10 August 2022, 16 August 2022, 23 August 2022, 29 August 2022, 7 September 2022, 13 September 2022, 19 September 2022, 23 September 2022 and 26 September 2022, a total of USD 792,892 advances (equivalent to RM 3.68 million based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to PT AirAsia SuperApp Indonesia (“SuperApp ID”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, ACT;

8. On 11 August 2022, an advance of USD 69,326 (equivalent to RM 321,742 based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to Velox Technology (Thailand) Co Ltd (“Velox”) by the company, through its subsidiary, ACT;

9. On 31 August 2022, RM 1,000,000 advances was provided to ACT by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AirAsia Digital Sdn Bhd (“AAD”);

10. On 20 July 2022, a loan of USD 114,928 (equivalent to RM 533,381 based on the exchange rate of 4.641 as at 30 September 2022) was provided to Teleport Commerce (Thailand) Co Ltd (“TLPCMTH”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, Teleport Everywhere Pte.Ltd (“TLPSG”);

(Collectively, referred to as “the Financial Assistance”).

The Financial Assistance provided was in the ordinary course of business and to facilitate the running of the operations and financial affairs of PAA, ACTPH, AARIDE MY, AARIDE SG, SuperApp KR, OURFARM, SuperApp ID, Velox, ACT and TLPCMTH.

The Financial Assistance provided does not have any material effect on the earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing of the Company and its subsidiaries.
