Pursuant to Paragraph 8.23(1)(iii) of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Company wishes to announce that it had provided financial assistance in the form of advances to its associate and subsidiary companies during the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2021 as follows: -

1. On 24 December 2021, an advance of USD1,181,000 (equivalent to RM4.9 million based on exchange rate of 4.174 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to AirAsia Inc (“AAP”) by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AirAsia Berhad (“AAB”);

2. On 13 October 2021, 28 October 2021, 1 November 2021, 5 November 2021, 11 November 2021, 25 November 2021, 30 November 2021, 1 December 2021, 14 December 2021, 27 December 2021, 28 December 2021 and 31 December 2021, a total of USD10,330,343 advances (equivalent to RM43.1 million based on the exchange rate of 4.1740 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to PT Indonesia AirAsia (“IAA”) by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AAB;

3. On 25 October 2021, 1 November 2021, 24 November 2021 and 21 December 2021, a total of USD6,309,090 (equivalent to RM26.3 million based on the exchange rate of 4.1740 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to Philippines Airasia Inc. (“PAA”) by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AAB;

4. On 31 December 2021, an advance of RM728,000 was provided to Teleport Commerce Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“TCM”) by the Company;

5. On 31 December 2021, an advance of RM5,303,000 was provided to Teleport Everywhere Pte Ltd (“TES”) by the Company;

6. On 30 November 2021 and 27 December 2021, a total of USD2,330,000 advances (equivalent to RM9.7 million based on the exchange rate of 4.1740 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to PAA by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AirAsia Aviation Group Limited (“AAAGL”) (formerly known as AirAsia Aviation Limited);

7. On 30 November 2021, an advance of RM27,800,000 was provided to AirAsia Com Travel Sdn Bhd (“ACT”) by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AirAsia Digital Sdn Bhd (“AAD”);

8. On 1 November 2021, an advance of USD4,000,000 (equivalent to RM16.7 million based on the exchange rate of 4.1740 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to TES by the Company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AAD;

9. On 6 December 2021, 7 December 2021, 14 December 2021 and 17 December 2021, a total of USD295,000 advances (equivalent to RM1.2 million based on the exchange rate of 4.1740 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to Teleport Commerce Thailand Co. Ltd (“TLPCMTH”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, TES;

10. On 27 October 2021, an advance of THB6,000,000 (equivalent to RM750,000 based on the exchange rate of 12.4895/THB100 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to AirAsia Com Travel (Thailand) Ltd (“ACTTH”) by the Company, through its subsidiary, Velox Technology (Thailand) Company Limited (“VTT”);

11. On 5 October 2021, an advance of USD3,500,000 (equivalent to RM14.6 million based on the exchange rate of 4.1740 as at 31 December 2021) was provided to AirAsia SuperApp Sdn Bhd (“SuperApp”) (formally known as AirAsia ADS Sdn. Bhd) by the Company, through its subsidiary, VTT;

(Collectively, referred to as “the Financial Assistance”).

The Financial Assistance provided was in the ordinary course of business and to facilitate the running of the operations and financial affairs of AAP, IAA, PAA, TCM, TES, ACT, TLPCMH, ACTTH and SuperApp.

The Financial Assistance provided does not have any material effect on the earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing of the Company and its subsidiaries.
